    About Noevo

What is Noevo and how is it different from other study abroad platforms?

    +

Noevo is a global student mobility platform that helps students discover, compare and apply to universities around the world. Unlike traditional study-abroad agencies that push you toward whichever institution pays the highest commission, Noevo combines an unbiased university search engine with optional human counselors based in Europe. The platform is built around fit: your academic background, language level, budget, country preferences, career goals and personal values. Instead of a generic list of universities, Noevo helps you build a focused, realistic shortlist and walks with you from first idea to final enrolment.

    About Noevo

    Is Noevo free to use?

    +

Noevo is not always free, but it is designed to be extremely affordable. Browsing universities, exploring destinations and using the AI counselor is open to everyone. For applications through some partner universities, Noevo charges a symbolic platform fee of €50 to cover platform and processing costs. That €50 can be fully redeemed in points you earn by completing your profile, uploading your documents, inviting friends and engaging with the platform. There are no hidden charges and no commission paid by the student on top.

    About Noevo

    How does Noevo make money?

    +

Noevo earns revenue in three transparent ways: a symbolic €50 platform fee for some partner-university applications (redeemable in points), optional paid human counseling services for students who want personalised support, and B2B partnerships with schools and universities. We do not sell student data, and we do not push students toward institutions just because they pay us more.

    About Noevo

Is Noevo a real, registered company?

    +

Yes. Noevo is operated by NOEVO PTE. LTD., a Singapore-registered EdTech company. We work with universities globally and our human counselors are based in Europe.

    About Noevo

Is Noevo available in my country?

    +

Noevo supports students from anywhere in the world who want to study abroad. The platform is fully multilingual (English, Spanish and Chinese for now) and works with universities across Europe, North America, Asia and beyond. If you are legally allowed to apply internationally, we can usually help.

    About Noevo

Can I use Noevo even if I am just starting to think about studying abroad?

    +

Absolutely. Many of our students arrive without knowing the country, the city, the field of study or the budget. Noevo is built precisely for that moment: to help you go from 'I think I want to study abroad' to a clear, realistic plan with shortlisted universities and concrete next steps.

    About Noevo

Is my data safe with Noevo?

    +

Yes. Noevo follows modern data-protection standards. Your personal information, documents and academic data are stored securely and never sold. You decide which universities receive your application and what information they see.

    About Noevo

How do I contact Noevo if I need help?

    +

You can chat with our AI counselor 24/7 directly on the platform, send a message through the contact form, or book a session with one of our human counselors. If you are already working with a counselor, you will have a direct line of communication throughout your application process.

    Counseling & Decisions

What does an education counselor actually do?

    +

A good education counselor helps you make better decisions, not just submit more applications. That includes understanding your profile (grades, languages, finances, goals), exploring countries and programs, building a realistic university shortlist, planning timelines, polishing your personal statement, preparing for interviews, supporting visa preparation and helping you compare offers. The best counselors are honest about what is realistic for your profile.

    Counseling & Decisions

Is studying abroad a good idea?

    +

Studying abroad can be one of the most transformative experiences of your life: stronger career prospects, language skills, cultural awareness, independence and a global network. But it is not the right choice for everyone or every moment. The honest answer depends on your finances, your academic readiness, your maturity, your support system at home and your long-term goals. Noevo helps you weigh all of this honestly before you commit.

    Counseling & Decisions

How do I know if I really need a counselor?

    +

You probably do not need a counselor if you already know exactly which 1–2 universities you want, you understand each requirement, you are organised with deadlines, and your profile clearly matches what those universities want. You probably do benefit from a counselor if you feel overwhelmed, your shortlist is unclear, your profile has gaps, you are aiming at selective universities, your family wants reassurance, or you simply do not want to go through such an important decision alone.

    Counseling & Decisions

    Does Noevo offer human counseling?

    +

Yes. Noevo works with human counselors based in Europe for students who want personal, end-to-end support. Human counseling services start from €2,500. The final price depends on which universities you target, the level of support you need, and the complexity of your profile (number of countries, scholarships, visa needs, etc.). Pricing is always discussed transparently before you commit.

    Counseling & Decisions

What is included in Noevo's human counseling service?

    +

Typically: a deep profile review, university and program shortlisting, application strategy, document preparation and review (CV, motivation letter, recommendations), help with timelines and deadlines, interview preparation when needed, scholarship guidance, visa preparation support and assistance comparing final offers. The exact scope is agreed at the start of the engagement.

    Counseling & Decisions

Can Noevo help me if I am not sure what to study?

    +

Yes. Choosing what to study is often harder than choosing where. Noevo helps you reflect on your interests, strengths, values, preferred lifestyle and career direction. The combination of our AI counselor and (optionally) a human counselor can help you narrow from 'I have no idea' to a confident, well-reasoned choice.

    Counseling & Decisions

Can Noevo help parents understand the process too?

    +

Yes. Studying abroad is rarely a solo decision. Many families want clarity around safety, total costs, visa rules, post-study work options and long-term value. Noevo is designed so students and parents can review options together with the same clear information.

    Counseling & Decisions

How is Noevo different from a traditional study-abroad agency?

    +

Traditional agencies often promote universities that pay the highest commissions and may push you toward whatever closes a deal fastest. Noevo indexes universities globally regardless of partnership status, gives you AI-powered exploration tools, and only offers human counseling as a transparent paid service. Our incentive is to help you make a good decision, not to maximise our commission.

    Studying Abroad

What are the main benefits of studying abroad?

    +

The most cited benefits include: access to higher-quality or more specialised programs, exposure to a new language and culture, stronger CV and global employability, larger international network, personal growth and independence, and in some cases better post-graduation work and residency options. Many students also report that studying abroad accelerates their maturity and clarifies their career direction.

    Studying Abroad

What are the main challenges of studying abroad?

    +

Common challenges include cost (tuition, living, flights, insurance), homesickness, cultural adjustment, language barriers, complex visa procedures, validating your previous studies, finding accommodation, and managing finances in a different currency. None of these are deal-breakers, but they are easier to handle when you plan early and get good guidance.

    Studying Abroad

Which countries are most popular for international students?

    +

Among the most popular destinations are the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, Italy and increasingly countries in Asia such as Singapore, South Korea and the UAE. The 'best' country depends on your field of study, language, budget and post-study plans, not on rankings alone.

    Studying Abroad

Where can I study abroad in English?

    +

Beyond the obvious English-speaking countries (UK, USA, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand), many universities in the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Hungary and the UAE offer full degree programs taught in English. Noevo can filter universities by language of instruction.

    Studying Abroad

When should I start planning to study abroad?

    +

Ideally 12–18 months before your intended start date. That gives you time to research countries, take any required language tests, prepare documents, apply, wait for decisions, organise your visa, find housing and prepare financially. Some students do it faster, but rushing usually means weaker applications and more stress.

    Studying Abroad

What language tests do I need for studying abroad?

    +

The most common are IELTS and TOEFL for English, DELE for Spanish, DELF/DALF for French, TestDaF/Goethe for German and HSK for Chinese. Some universities accept Duolingo English Test or have their own internal assessment. Always check the specific requirement of each program — they vary widely.

    Studying Abroad

Do I need to know the local language to study abroad?

    +

Not always. Many programs are fully taught in English even in non-English-speaking countries. However, learning at least the basics of the local language strongly improves your daily life, social integration, internships and job prospects after graduation.

    Studying Abroad

Can I study abroad after high school?

    +

Yes. Many students go straight from high school into international undergraduate programs. Requirements vary by country: some require national exams (e.g. SAT, A-levels, IB, Selectividad, Gaokao), others rely mostly on transcripts and personal statements. Planning early is key.

    Studying Abroad

Can I study abroad for a master's degree?

    +

Absolutely, and it is one of the most common moments to study abroad. Master's programs are often 1–2 years, more focused, and frequently taught in English even in non-English-speaking countries. They are often the highest-value moment to invest in an international experience.

    Studying Abroad

Can I study abroad as a working professional?

    +

Yes. Many universities offer part-time, executive or online/hybrid programs designed for working professionals. There are also short specialised programs, summer schools and one-year master's degrees that fit a career break.

    Finding Your University

How does Noevo help me find the right university?

    +

Noevo combines a global university database with intelligent filters and an AI counselor. You can search by country, field of study, language of instruction, budget, ranking and admission difficulty. The AI counselor analyses your profile and goals to suggest universities that genuinely fit, while human counselors can refine the shortlist further if you choose paid support.

    Finding Your University

Does Noevo only show partner universities?

    +

No. Noevo indexes universities globally, regardless of partnership status. Partner universities may appear with extra information or simplified application flows, but the search itself is unbiased. We believe students deserve to see the full landscape, not a curated commercial selection.

    Finding Your University

    How important are university rankings?

    +

Rankings are one signal among many. They can be useful for comparing global reputation, especially for highly competitive industries, but they should never be the only factor. Two universities with very different rankings can be equally good — or even better — depending on your specific program, your career goals and your fit. Always look beyond the headline number.

    Finding Your University

How many universities should I apply to?

    +

A common rule of thumb is 4 to 8 well-chosen universities: a couple of 'reach' (ambitious), a few 'match' (realistic) and at least one 'safety' (very likely admission). Applying to too few is risky; applying to 20+ usually means weaker, generic applications. Quality beats quantity.

    Finding Your University

Can I compare countries and universities side by side?

    +

Yes. Comparison is one of the most important steps. Noevo helps you weigh tuition, living costs, visa rules, employability, language requirements, ranking, climate and lifestyle so you can make a confident decision instead of guessing.

    Finding Your University

What study levels does Noevo support?

    +

Noevo supports undergraduate (bachelor's), postgraduate (master's), MBA, PhD, foundation, pathway and short specialised programs across a wide range of countries and fields of study.

    Finding Your University

Can Noevo help me build a shortlist if I have too many options?

    +

Yes — that is exactly the problem we solve best. Most students are not short of options, they are paralysed by them. Noevo helps you reduce the noise based on your real profile, budget and goals.

    Applications

What documents do I usually need to apply to a university abroad?

    +

Typical documents include: academic transcripts and diplomas (often translated and sometimes legalised), passport copy, CV/resume, motivation letter or personal statement, 1–3 recommendation letters, a language test certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, etc. when required), proof of finances for visa purposes, and sometimes a portfolio (for art/design) or test scores (SAT, GRE, GMAT). Requirements vary by country and program.

    Applications

Can Noevo help me review my application documents?

    +

Yes. Depending on the service level you choose, Noevo can review your CV, personal statement, motivation letter and overall application package, flag missing items and suggest improvements before submission.

    Applications

How do I write a strong personal statement or motivation letter?

    +

A strong motivation letter is specific, honest and well-structured. It should answer: why this field, why this university, why now, and what you bring. Avoid clichés ('I have always loved...'), avoid copying templates, and connect your past experience clearly with your future goals. Have someone experienced review it before submission.

    Applications

    Do I need recommendation letters?

    +

Many universities (especially in the US, UK and for master's programs) require 1–3 recommendation letters from teachers, professors or employers. Choose recommenders who actually know your work, not just famous people. Give them enough time and a clear summary of your goals so they can write something meaningful.

    Applications

How long does the application process usually take?

    +

From first research to final enrolment, plan for 8–18 months. The application itself can take a few weeks to a few months per university. Decisions can take from a few weeks (rolling admissions) to several months (fixed deadlines). Visa processing then adds anywhere from 2 weeks to several months on top.

    Applications

    What if I get rejected?

    +

A rejection is rarely the end. It usually means the strategy needs adjustment: different universities, a different intake, a stronger application, additional language scores or sometimes a foundation/pathway year. Noevo helps you analyse what likely happened and rebuild a realistic plan.

    Applications

Can I apply to multiple countries at the same time?

    +

Yes. Many students apply across 2–3 countries to compare offers. The main things to manage are deadlines (which vary a lot by country) and the cost of multiple application fees and language tests. A counselor can help you sequence applications efficiently.

    Visas

Does Noevo help with student visa preparation?

    +

Yes. Noevo guides you through which visa you need, what documents to prepare, financial proof requirements, timelines, common mistakes and interview preparation when applicable. We do not replace official immigration authorities, but we make the process much less confusing.

    Visas

Can anyone guarantee a student visa?

    +

No. Any agency or counselor that 'guarantees' a visa is being dishonest. Visa decisions belong exclusively to the relevant immigration authorities. What good guidance does is reduce avoidable mistakes, improve documentation quality and increase your real chances.

    Visas

When should I start preparing my student visa?

    +

As early as possible — ideally as soon as you start applying. You usually need an admission letter to begin the visa process, but you can prepare financial proof, translated documents, passport renewals and travel insurance in parallel. Visa appointments can have long waiting times in many countries.

    Visas

What is 'proof of funds' and why does it matter?

    +

Most student visas require you to prove you can pay tuition and living costs without illegally working in the destination country. Each country sets its own minimum amount and accepted formats (bank statements, sponsor letters, blocked accounts, scholarships). This is one of the most common reasons for visa refusals, so it must be done carefully.

    Visas

Can I work while studying abroad?

    +

In many countries yes, but with strict limits — often around 20 hours per week during the semester and full-time during holidays. Rules vary by country and visa type. Working illegally can put your visa, studies and future immigration record at risk, so always check the official rules.

    Visas

Does Noevo help after I receive an offer?

    +

Yes. Receiving an offer is only the middle of the journey. Noevo can support you with visa planning, accepting the offer, paying deposits, finding accommodation, arranging insurance, and preparing for departure.

    Costs & Scholarships

How much does it cost to study abroad?

    +

Total cost depends heavily on country and city, but a useful framework is: tuition + living costs + visa & insurance + travel + setup costs (deposit, furniture, etc.). For example, public universities in Germany or France can be very affordable, while top private universities in the US or UK can exceed €60,000–80,000 per year. Always look at total cost of study, not only tuition.

    Costs & Scholarships

Which countries are cheapest for international students?

    +

Among the most affordable destinations for quality higher education are Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and several Asian countries such as Malaysia and Taiwan. 'Cheap' should always be evaluated together with quality, language, visa rules and post-study options.

    Costs & Scholarships

Can Noevo help me understand whether a destination fits my budget?

    +

Yes. Budget fit is one of the most underestimated factors. Noevo helps you compare realistic total costs (tuition + living + visas + travel) so you do not commit to a destination that becomes financially unsustainable.

    Costs & Scholarships

Can I get the €50 platform fee back?

    +

Yes, in eligible cases. The symbolic €50 platform fee for some partner-university applications can be redeemed through points you earn on Noevo by completing your data, building your profile, uploading documents and inviting friends. This is the only platform-side fee a student normally pays.

    Costs & Scholarships

Are there scholarships for international students?

    +

Yes — thousands. They come from governments (e.g. Erasmus+, Chevening, DAAD, Fulbright, MEXT, Eiffel), individual universities, private foundations and even companies. Scholarships are competitive and require planning. Noevo helps students identify which scholarships realistically match their profile.

    Costs & Scholarships

Can Noevo help me find scholarships?

    +

Yes. Scholarship guidance is part of the broader counseling and decision-making process. Opportunities depend on your country of origin, destination, field of study and academic profile, so generic scholarship lists are rarely enough.

    Costs & Scholarships

Is the cheapest university always the best choice?

    +

No. Cost matters, but employability, quality, recognition of the degree in your home country, language of instruction, post-study work options and overall student experience matter just as much. A cheap degree that does not open doors can be more expensive in the long run.

    Costs & Scholarships

Can my family pay tuition in instalments?

    +

Many universities allow tuition to be split into 2–4 instalments per year. Some countries also offer student loans for international students, and certain universities have partnerships with banks. Always confirm the official payment terms before accepting an offer.

    Life Abroad

How do I find accommodation as an international student?

    +

Common options are university residences (often the easiest for first-year students), private student residences, shared apartments, homestays and renting your own place. Always be cautious of online scams: never pay a deposit before you can verify the property is real, and prefer rentals through official platforms or your university's housing office.

    Life Abroad

How do I open a bank account abroad?

    +

Most countries allow international students to open a basic local bank account using their passport, visa, university acceptance letter and proof of address. Many students also use modern fintech accounts (such as multi-currency accounts) before they arrive. Having a local account is usually required for rent, salaries and some bills.

    Life Abroad

Do I need health insurance to study abroad?

    +

Yes, in almost every country. Some countries include public health coverage with your visa or student status; others require you to buy private insurance. Insurance is often a visa requirement, so do not leave it for the last minute.

    Life Abroad

How can I deal with homesickness and culture shock?

    +

Homesickness and culture shock are normal. They tend to follow a curve: initial excitement, then difficulty around 2–3 months in, then gradual adaptation. Stay in touch with family, build a local routine, join student clubs, learn some of the local language and ask for help early — most universities have free counseling and student-support services.

    Life Abroad

Will my degree be recognised when I return home?

    +

Most degrees from accredited universities are widely recognised, but recognition depends on your home country's rules and the regulated profession (e.g. medicine, law, engineering may need additional steps). Always check before enrolment if you plan to work in a regulated profession back home.

    Careers & After Graduation

Can I stay and work in the country after I graduate?

    +

Many countries offer post-study work visas (for example the UK Graduate Route, Germany's job-seeking visa, the Netherlands' Orientation Year, Canada's PGWP, Australia's Temporary Graduate visa). Duration and conditions vary widely, so check the latest official rules of your destination country before deciding.

    Careers & After Graduation

Does studying abroad really help my career?

    +

For most students, yes — but the impact depends on what you do with it. International degrees signal independence, language skills and adaptability. Career impact is strongest when you combine your degree with internships, networking, language skills and a clear professional plan.

    Careers & After Graduation

Can I do internships while studying abroad?

    +

Yes, in most countries. Internships are often the single best way to convert a degree into a job. Some programs include mandatory internships; in others you organise them yourself. Visa rules around internships vary, so always confirm what is allowed under your specific student visa.

    Careers & After Graduation

Will I earn more after studying abroad?

    +

Often yes, but it is not automatic. Studies and salary surveys generally show that international graduates earn well, especially in fields like engineering, computer science, business, finance and healthcare. The real driver is the combination of degree quality, work experience, language skills and where you choose to build your career.

    Schools & Universities

Can schools work with Noevo to support their students?

    +

Yes. Noevo offers tools designed for high schools and college counselors to support international guidance: shared dashboards, university shortlists, application tracking and direct collaboration with Noevo counselors when needed.

    Schools & Universities

    Can universities partner with Noevo?

    +

Yes. Universities can partner with Noevo to improve visibility among well-matched international students, simplify application flows and benefit from better-quality applications. Partnership terms are discussed transparently and never bias the search results students see.

    Schools & Universities

Can a school or university request a demo?

    +

Yes. Schools and universities can contact Noevo directly to request a personalised walkthrough of the platform and discuss how it fits their specific needs.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Which paid plans does Noevo offer and what does each include?

    +

Noevo offers four student plans. Free gives you an introductory personality assessment, limited Rio (AI) messages per month and public university search. Basic is for students who are actively exploring — more assessments per month, more Rio chat, and the ability to save shortlists. Pro is for students in application season — unlimited assessments, unlimited Rio chat, priority answers, unlimited partner university applications and the ability to book time with a human counselor. Custom Made is a fully-managed package with a dedicated Europe-based counselor from shortlist to enrolment. Exact allowances are displayed on the pricing page and inside the dashboard.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

How is Noevo billed — monthly or yearly?

    +

Paid plans are available on monthly or yearly cycles. Yearly plans are cheaper per month but paid up front. Custom Made is quoted per case. All subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the cycle at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Are taxes included in the prices I see?

    +

No. Prices displayed on Noevo are shown excluding taxes. Applicable indirect taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.) are calculated and added at checkout based on the billing country and postal code you provide. The final total, including tax, is always displayed before you confirm payment.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Which country's tax rules apply to my purchase?

    +

The tax rate applied depends on your declared billing country and, where relevant, the sub-region (e.g. US state, Canadian province). If your country requires a VAT / GST / tax identification number to issue a compliant invoice, you must enter it at checkout — we cannot reissue invoices with retroactive tax numbers.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Who is Paddle and why does my receipt come from them?

    +

Paddle.com is our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes your payment, calculates and remits the correct local taxes, and issues your invoice on our behalf. Your contract for the underlying service is with Noevo; your contract for the payment transaction is with Paddle. Billing enquiries can go to billing@noevo.io or to Paddle at paddle.net.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

    Does Noevo offer refunds?

    +

As a rule, no. Noevo is a digital service and access is granted instantly, similar to most AI and SaaS subscription products. We do not refund partial billing periods, unused credits, or renewals that were not cancelled in time. Refund requests are reviewed case-by-case by Paddle (our Merchant of Record) and may be granted, at our discretion, only in narrow situations such as prolonged service unavailability, a duplicate or fraudulent charge, or where a mandatory consumer-protection law in your country requires it. Full details are in our Terms of Service.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Does the EU 14-day cooling-off period apply?

    +

The EU 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services does not apply once you have started using the service and expressly waived that right at checkout — which happens when you tick the terms acceptance box on the payment screen. This is standard for digital subscription services.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

How do I cancel my subscription?

    +

You can cancel any time from your dashboard, from the customer portal linked in your receipt email, or by contacting billing@noevo.io. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no cancellation fee.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

What happens if my payment fails?

    +

Paddle will automatically retry the payment. If it still fails, your account is downgraded to the Free plan and paid features are paused. Your data is not deleted — you can resume the plan at any time by updating your payment method.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Can I change plans in the middle of a billing cycle?

    +

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated against the remaining time in your current cycle. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current cycle so you keep the features you already paid for.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Is my payment information stored by Noevo?

    +

No. All payment data is handled by Paddle, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified provider. Noevo never sees or stores your card details.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

What terms am I agreeing to when I click 'Pay'?

    +

You are confirming that you have read and accept Noevo's Terms of Service, the Refund Policy (digital services are generally non-refundable), the tax treatment described above (taxes depend on your billing country), and Paddle's role as Merchant of Record. Governing law is Singapore, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Can I get an invoice for my company or school?

    +

Yes. During checkout you can add a company / school name, address and (where applicable) tax ID. Paddle will issue a compliant invoice by email.

    Rio (AI) & Usage Limits

What is Rio and what can it do?

    +

Rio is Noevo's AI counselor. It answers questions about universities, programs, countries, visas, costs and deadlines, drafts and improves personal statements, helps you build a shortlist and explains next steps. It is available inside the dashboard on every paid plan and, in a limited version, on the Free plan.

    Rio (AI) & Usage Limits

How many Rio messages do I get per month?

    +

Free plan users get a limited monthly allowance intended for exploration. Basic includes a larger monthly allowance suitable for active decision-making. Pro and Custom Made include unlimited Rio chat. Allowances reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over.

    Rio (AI) & Usage Limits

What happens when I hit my monthly Rio limit?

    +

The composer is disabled for the rest of the cycle and Rio will let you know. You can either wait for the next cycle to reset or upgrade your plan to keep chatting.

    Rio (AI) & Usage Limits

How many assessments can I take?

    +

Free users can take an introductory assessment. Basic includes several assessments per month. Pro and Custom Made include unlimited assessments and the ability to retake previous assessments as your profile evolves.

    Rio (AI) & Usage Limits

Do I get credits for university applications?

    +

Yes. Each paid plan includes a monthly allowance of partner-university applications. Pro and Custom Made include unlimited partner applications.

    Rio (AI) & Usage Limits

    Is Rio always right?

    +

No. Rio is very useful but, like all AI systems, it can be inaccurate or out of date. Always double-check critical information (deadlines, visa rules, tuition figures) on the university or government website before making a decision or a payment.

    Rio (AI) & Usage Limits

Does Noevo train AI models on my personal data?

    +

No. We do not use your private profile data, documents or private conversations to train third-party foundation models. We may use aggregated, anonymised signals to improve our own recommendation quality.

    Rio (AI) & Usage Limits

    Which AI models power Rio?

Rio is a multi-model system. Depending on the task, it routes through leading foundation models (OpenAI GPT-class and Google Gemini-class models) combined with Noevo's own retrieval layer over verified university, program and country data. The model mix evolves as better models become available, but the Rio persona, guardrails and answers remain consistent.

    Rio (AI) & Usage Limits

Can Rio write my personal statement or motivation letter for me?

    +

Rio can help you brainstorm, structure, tighten and proofread your personal statement or motivation letter, but you should always be the author. Universities are increasingly good at detecting fully AI-written essays, and — more importantly — an essay that is not really yours rarely reflects who you are. Use Rio as an editor, not a ghost-writer.

    Rio (AI) & Usage Limits

    Does Rio speak my language?

    +

Rio replies in English, Spanish and Chinese today, and understands many more languages in the input. If you write to Rio in Portuguese, French, Italian or Arabic, it will usually respond in your language, but the most polished experience is currently in the three officially supported languages.

    Rio (AI) & Usage Limits

Is my conversation with Rio private?

    +

Yes. Your chats are visible only to you and, if you invite one, your human counselor. They are not shared with universities, not sold, and not used to train external AI models.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Is there a free trial of the paid plans?

    +

The Free plan itself acts as a permanent free tier so you can try Noevo before paying. We do not currently offer a time-limited free trial of Basic or Pro on top of that — instead we keep the Free plan generous enough to make an informed decision.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Do you offer student, group or school discounts?

    +

Yes, on a case-by-case basis. Schools, universities and student groups of 10+ can request institutional pricing by contacting hello@noevo.io. Individual promotional discounts, when available, are announced on the pricing page or via email.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Which payment methods can I use?

    +

Through Paddle we accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and in supported countries local methods such as SEPA Direct Debit, iDEAL and PayPal. Available methods are shown at checkout based on your country.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

In which currency will I be charged?

    +

Paddle automatically presents prices in your local currency where supported (USD, EUR, GBP, SGD, CAD, AUD and many more). Your bank may still apply a small conversion fee depending on the card you use.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Will my price go up at renewal?

    +

If we change list prices, existing subscribers on an active plan keep their current price for the remainder of the committed period and are notified by email before any increase applies at the next renewal. You can always cancel before that renewal date.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

What happens to my data if I cancel?

    +

Your account and profile stay active on the Free tier. Uploaded documents, chat history and shortlists are preserved so you can resume later. You can permanently delete your account and data at any time from Settings.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Is Noevo a subscription or a one-time payment?

    +

The student plans (Basic and Pro) are recurring subscriptions billed monthly or yearly. Custom Made human counseling is a one-time engagement quoted per case. The €50 partner-application platform fee, where it applies, is a one-off payment tied to a specific application.

    Billing, Plans, Refunds & Tax

Does Noevo charge commission to students on tuition?

    +

No. Noevo never takes a percentage of your tuition and never adds a hidden margin to your university fees. You pay tuition directly to the university at the price they publish.

    About Noevo

Is Noevo legit and safe to use?

    +

Yes. Noevo is operated by NOEVO PTE. LTD., a Singapore-registered EdTech company. Payments are processed by Paddle (a global Merchant of Record used by thousands of software companies). Data is stored on enterprise-grade infrastructure with Row-Level Security. Human counselors are vetted professionals based in Europe.

    About Noevo

How is Noevo different from Crimson Education, IDP, ApplyBoard or a traditional agency?

    +

Traditional agencies and large recruitment platforms are typically paid by universities per enrolled student, which creates a bias toward whoever pays the highest commission. Noevo indexes universities globally regardless of partnership status, keeps AI-driven exploration free or very cheap, and offers human counseling as a transparent paid service, not a hidden commission. Our incentive is a good decision for you, not a placement fee for us.

    About Noevo

Who founded Noevo and where is the team based?

    +

Noevo was founded by a team with backgrounds in international education, technology and admissions consulting. The company is headquartered in Singapore, with human counselors based in Europe and a distributed engineering and content team.

    About Noevo

How can I trust the university information on Noevo?

    +

University, program, tuition and deadline information is sourced from official university websites and public regulator data, enriched by our team and continuously updated. Where information may have changed since the last update, Rio will flag it and link to the official source. For visa and immigration matters we always defer to the destination country's official government portal.

    About Noevo

Does Noevo work with universities in the US, UK, Europe, Canada and Australia?

    +

Yes. Noevo covers universities across North America (US, Canada), the UK, the European Union and EEA, Australia, New Zealand, and a growing list in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Coverage depth varies by country, and we prioritise the destinations most requested by our students.

    About Noevo

Does Noevo have an app or is it web-only?

    +

Noevo is a mobile-first web app that works from any modern browser on phone, tablet or desktop — no download required. Native mobile apps are on the roadmap.

    Applications

How long does a typical university application take on Noevo?

    +

Once your Noevo profile is complete, most partner-university applications can be prepared in a few hours of focused work spread over 1–2 weeks (essays, references, document uploads). Non-partner applications through the university's own portal take longer, mostly because each portal asks for information differently.

    Applications

Can I apply to more than one country at the same time through Noevo?

    +

Yes. Many of our students apply across 2–4 countries in parallel to keep options open. Noevo tracks deadlines, requirements and status per application so you don't lose track.

    Applications

    Does Noevo guarantee admission?

    +

No serious platform can guarantee admission — anyone who does is lying. What Noevo can do is help you build a realistic shortlist mixing 'reach', 'match' and 'safety' universities, and strengthen each application to give you the best possible chance.

    Applications

What documents will I typically need?

    +

Most international applications require: passport, academic transcripts, diploma / graduation certificate (or expected date), CV, personal statement or motivation letter, 1–3 recommendation letters, proof of English (IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo) or the local language, and proof of funds for the visa stage. Some programs also require portfolios, entrance tests or interviews.

    Studying Abroad

Is it better to study abroad for a bachelor's or a master's degree?

    +

Both are valid paths. A bachelor's abroad gives you the longest international experience and often the best local job network, but is more expensive and requires earlier maturity. A master's abroad is shorter, cheaper in total, more focused, and often has better return on investment — especially in fields like business, engineering and data. The best answer depends on your finances, maturity and career goals.

    Studying Abroad

Which are the best countries for studying computer science, engineering or business abroad?

    +

For computer science and engineering, top destinations include the US, UK, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Singapore and Australia. For business, add France, Spain, Italy and the UAE. 'Best' depends on your target companies and where you want to work afterwards, not only on rankings.
